Wire Rope Tools

Wire ropes are used for a variety of applications across various commercial and industrial sectors. They are used dynamically for lifting and hoisting in cranes and elevators, and for transmission of mechanical power. Wire rope is also used to transmit force in mechanisms, such as a Bowden cable or the control surfaces of an airplane connected to levers and pedals in the cockpit. The construction industry has the highest usage of ropes in comparison to other sectors. Perhaps, this arises from the need to lift and lower countless heavy loads within the industry. The other usage is in moving materials around the construction sites. Wire ropes are also used in the automotive industry for internal cabling, such as in tires, and in hoists and cranes to help in the car manufacturing process. In addition, wire ropes are used to support structures such as suspension bridges or as guy wires to support towers.
